Urbanization of a new logistics, industrial and tertiary sector in Vélez-Málaga

Malaga, November 24, 2023. After having completed the urban planning procedures, the owners of the sector, led by Salsa Inmobiliaria, are ready to begin the urbanization works of a unique logistics, industrial and tertiary sector in Vélez-Málaga. It is a plot with exclusive conditions due to its location, at the foot of the A-7 and a few kilometers from Malaga capital, and also because of the land that covers a total area to be developed of 166,890 m², wherof 74,424 m² will be net plots, and the rest of the road, parking, equipment and green areas.

With the green light for the “El Higueral” Vélez-Málaga sector, an ambitious urban and business project, the economic development of the region and the quality of life of the residents will be pushed, since employment will be promoted by converting the area into a important business focus for the development of activities related to the management of supply chains, production processes and services to the Eastern Costa del Sol.

The land development works will begin soon and will last around 18 months. These works include everything from sanitation, water and electricity supply, to the installation of communication routes, lighting or telecommunications services, among other basic actions.

The new sector, being located at the foot of the A-7 motorway, guarantees optimal accessibility and visibility for companies that establish themselves in the area. This privileged location, join to the scarcity of this type of development on the Eastern Costa del Sol, will position Vélez-Málaga as a direct competitor compared to other locations, including Málaga capital.

Investment and key data

The project contemplates a total investment of 13,000,000 euros for the complete urbanization of the sector, reflecting the commitment to the growth and prosperity of Vélez-Málaga. This investment will result in modern infrastructure and services that will benefit both businesses and the local community.

The Sociedad Azucarera Larios Group, through its business line Salsa Inmobiliaria, is the main and majority promoter of this ambitious project. With a property of 52,487 m² of net plots in the sector, the company demonstrates its commitment to develop and generate economic opportunities in the area.

After the complete occupation of the Agri-Alimentary Park, the initiative aims to satisfy the current lack of productive land, meeting a growing demand for new quality facilities with the necessary services to be attractive to both local companies and large logistics and business facilities.
